Adrian Rhodes Online Psychotherapy is Distinct

It was refreshing to be able to talk to Pip about online psychotherapy from the psychoanalytic perspective.
In the analytic world, excessive allegiance to traditional techniques – and perhaps a lack of vision and nerve
– mean it is only just being taken seriously.
What is needed is a new generation of practitioners and theoreticians – probably digital natives
– who can recognise that online therapy is in fact a new – and different – expression of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
They will need to rework and reapply fundamental insights in new ways, in order to engage the digital world in and effective manner.

It promises to be an exciting venture!
